This explains the data I collect, how I use it, and the steps I take to protect it.

Data protection

As a freelance editor, I collect minimal personal data solely for my business purposes and typically for:

• communicating with clients on potential or active projects via email and/or phone
• occasional marketing emails to notify clients of my availability
• invoicing.

I will not share contact details with third parties unless specifically agreed in advance, or in order to comply with legal requirements (for example, tax returns).

My office space is my own and not shared, my equipment password protected, and files regularly backed up to external hard drive.

Cookies

I use cookies provided by Google Analytics to monitor hits on my website. The anonymised data collected enables me to analyse traffic and so optimise website performance.
